Education and Motivation
Diana wasn't exactly an A+ student. She was educated at home till the age of 9, then went to boarding school, Riddlesworth Hall in Norfolk, England. From the age of 12 she attended the exclusive West Heath Girls School in Kent, where again she was not the best student. She failed all of her O-levels twice and dropped out at the age of 16. Then she tried a finishing school , Institut Alpin Videmanette, in Rougemount, Switzerland. But she quit again, this time after a single term.
Diana always had a soft spot for children and worked with them after school. She was a kindergarten teacher at the Young England School. She worked there when her and Charles were courting. Her motivation was closely tied to her love for children; seen in her work with the AIDS children in Africa, the Saint Ormond's Street Hospital and would later extend to helping many of the less fortunate.
